Yesterday we spent a few hours in Durham at the annual Christmas Market. There was a lot going on and A LOT of people. Palace Green was the site of a large tent full of Christmas crafts and seasonal items for sale. There were services of carols at the Cathedral. The cloister area behind the Catherdral was packed full of specialty food stalls.
There was also a children’s processional for St. Nicholas. (of which I sadly took no photos ). Children met near sundown at St. Nicholas’ church with lanterns in hand and walked up Saddler St. ending on Palace Green. Very sweet.
Here are a few of the sights of the afternoon.
The Lego table is all decked for Christmas.
Nothing says Christmas like live Reindeer.
Did Harry lose his owl?
Our kid’s favourite….the candy stall.
Happy 2nd Sunday in Advent,
Beth
