Be thou my vision oh Lord of my heart

Come in daily Lord and rule my heart and help me see others through your eyes

Not be all else to me save that thou art

Don’t let the “things” in my life become gods to me.  Be all to me that you intended our relationship to be.

Thou my best thought by day or by night

Today have I thought of any thing more glorious, more worthy of praise than you?

Waking or sleeping thy presence my light

   You set watch over me both day and night, never sleeping.  Lord let your presence in my life shine out to others each day, all day.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,

   Let me not strive after riches and things of this world which rust and fade away.
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:

   You are all I need in this life and the next.

Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,

      May you alone hold the the throne of my heart

High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

   You are everything to me,  Ruler and Creator of all.
