It was a wonderful day full of adventures with friends new and old.  We decided to have a “close to home” field trip today as some new home school friends were coming to Durham from Newcastle.  We met Mr. Ray and took a few buses to the Cathedral to show him our work with the Lego Project.  We had fun showing him around our Wednesday stomping grounds.  He surprised the kids by purchasing some bricks to add to the Lego model.  Wow!  He is full of surprises.  It was really fun to add those bricks with our dear friend.

The rest of the afternoon we shared with another home school family from a nearby town.  This was our first time to meet up with them.  We toured around the Cathedral together and then we enjoyed a climb to the top of the Cathedral Tower.  Good to make some new home school friends.

A fantastic day in our most favourite place in all of the UK.  Home in Durham.
