This Saturday we decided to do a bit of exploring near Durham. The county next to us is called “Cumbria”. In County Cumbria headed east towards the Irish Sea there is a National Park area called “Lake District”. Our friends in Durham had all told us that we must see this area.
It was cool day mostly sunny with wind and high clouds so we headed over. What we saw there took our breath away.
Spent the day in the park taking as many photos as we could.
Each time we rounded a corner we saw a scene more lovely than the last.
We finished our day at 4,500 year old Castlerigg Stone Circle. It is a bit like Stonehenge but closer to us.
The UK has some beautiful parks. It was a great little Saturday adventure.

Beautiful !!!
Thx! I wish you were here to share it with you. 😉 We all miss you so much.

We loved the Lake District when we went there in 1987. Andrew climbed every rock he could find. Windermere and Hawkshead stand out in our memories. We are glad you all got to go.
We could spend another few weeks over there! The cold wind kept the kinds from doing too much rock climbing. Maybe we will get to go back when it is warmer some time.
Enjoying your blog and pictures so much. Thanks for sharing. Martha Anne Parker
Thanks, Martha Anne. We are thankful to stay connected to family and friends!
That lake is beautiful!
Thanks Lily. I only wish you could be here to see it with us. I will keep posting pictures of things around us for you to see.
Love,
Ms. Beth
